Hi - I only started playing petanque
in Sept '07 when I joined Brighton & Hove PC. Since
then I have played in various competitions at a club, local
(Adur), regional (Sussex) and the National Inter-Regional
championships. I was really pleased to see that you used
some quotes from my article on the BHPC website about our
experiences at Brean Sands. I too would like to mention
that I found the whole experience thoroughly enjoyable
and thought that the organisation of the whole event was
so seamless that it would be easy to not recognise just
how much work went into it to achieve the end result.
Many thanks for a great competition and a great website
and for promoting a great sport!

Trial Ranking List
27th March 2008
I am particularly happy to see that the ranking of EPA
players you have produced has received a lot of positive
feedback as it clearly deserves so. It would be great to
keep this ranking in place for the years to come and, going
forward, perhaps the EPA may want to grant a prize and/or
trophy to the EPA's top two or three players. This incentive
would certainly help to promote the game and would most
probably support the attendance at EPA's major annual events.
Thanks again for all your work and continuous support of
the sport in England.

I believe the ranking list is an excellent idea and hope
that it is developed for next year and for years to come.
The list has the potential to create many opportunities
for the EPA players, such as rewards for finishing in
the top 3 or selecting a top 32 from the rankings and
using that "squad" for further development.

2006 AGM

I would just like to thank you both (Mike & Kevin)
for your hard work and efforts during and prior to the
AGM. I was pleased by the willingness of those at the table
to listen to views from the floor and for the concerted
efforts to come to a compromise when needed. I have had
my doubts about certain issues but came away from the meeting
happy and reassured.
Many thanks

A great fantastic pic of the "2006 GB Ladies Worlds
team" in the centre of the home page found a few mins ago
- along with Ness's at the bottom is now even even better.
I am overjoyed that my friends are at last getting recognition & so
prominently. Saw 3 pics on the BPF w/site this morning & put
each into my pics file - along with this one too!! Do pass
my appreciation on up the ladder please.

Inter-Regional Weekend
13th September 2006
Just read the umpires report for the divisional championships.
What a great job you did, everybody knows about team kit,
I purchased black shorts on our recent trip to play in
Zywiec (Poland) not too difficult. As for the double booking
of terrains, what the hell we all got to play pretty quickly, & I
don't recall much lane advantage anywhere. Great weekend,
we are already planning our qualification for next year.

Hello Mike,
Well done for a very successful weekend. Ps, I must also
compliment you for having put in place a very good team
of umpires. They looked very smart and always professional.

Mike,
We at Chiltern have had our disagreements with the EPA
over many things but this weekend was not one of them!!
There were obvious small problems but we would like it
on record that we all thoroughly enjoyed the playing, atmosphere,
organization and weather. Please pass on our thanks to
all those behind the scenes who worked so hard to make
the weekend a success.

Congratulations and a big thank-you for your organisation
of the week-end
(Inter-Regional). Although the Isle of Wight did not do
so well this year -
and someone has to hold up the rest of the pile - we did,
as usual, enjoy ourselves and from our (the player's point
of view) everything seemed to go smoothly. Many thanks.

On behalf of my wife and myself I would like to thank the
EPA for putting on a successful Titles Weekend at British
Sugar. The selfless efforts of the organisers and umpires
are certainly much appreciated by us. The staff at British
Sugar couldn't have been nicer or more co-operative and
we will certainly be back next year.

I would just like to say what a great event. I was
a little unsure of it being held at Bury but the venue
was fantastic. The competition went very well and I would
like to pass on my thanks.
