English Pétanque Association (EPA)

The English Pétanque Association is the governing body for the sport of Pétanque (Pet-tonk) in England.

It is affiliated to the international governing body, the Fédération Internationale de Pétanque et Jeu Provençal, FIPJP and the European governing body, the Confédération Européenne de Pétanque, CEP

Pétanque (sometimes called boules) is a sport that is enjoyed by all the family, it can be played for fun in the garden or more seriously up to World Championship level.

The EPA’s structure of 15 regions means there will be a club near you (see the Regions , Club Database or contact one of the Officers for more information).

Our members will be happy to welcome you to their club and help you get started.

EPA Open league

Despite a couple of entries just making the dead line we have not had sufficient entries for the Open League that was to be held on 5^th July at Dartford FC..

As a result we (the EPA MC) have no other choice than to cancel this event at Dartford.

We hope that the 5 teams pre-registered to play at Dartford will still wish to take part in the Open League by transferring their entry to join the 8 teams that have pre-registered to play at the Swan Inn, Hereford.

European Championship

The EPA Management Committee is delighted to announce that the team which will represent the Association and its members at the CEP European Championship for Men in Nice, France will be:
